Kenya 2027 candidates: how to check a profile

Browse recorded 2027 aspirants by area and understand why a published profile is not official candidate confirmation.

Start with the seat and area

The 2027 directory links available public aspirant records by county, constituency and ward. Check both the position sought and the electoral area; a person seeking a ward seat is not a candidate for every seat in the county.

Separate an aspirant from an officially confirmed candidate

Approval on WajibuWako means the profile has passed the site's existing publication process. It is not proof of a public declaration, party nomination or IEBC registration. A current officeholder should not be treated as a 2027 candidate solely because they currently hold office.

Look for a dated public declaration tied to the specific seat, an official party announcement where relevant, and IEBC confirmation when available. Missing evidence should remain missing rather than being filled with an assumption.

Use primary sources

Follow the profile's recorded sources and compare them with official party or candidate statements and IEBC information. This directory is incomplete and is not an official ballot or nomination list.
