Biography
Hon. Gladys Boss Shollei, CBS, is the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya, having been elected to the position on 8 September 2022. She was first elected to the National Assembly in 2017 as the Woman Representative for Uasin Gishu County and was re-elected in August 2022. During her first term she served as Chairperson of the Committee on Delegated Legislation, where she steered consideration of a high number of statutory instruments — including key enabling regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic — and also served on the Departmental Committee on Justice & Legal Affairs, the Procedure & House Rules Committee and the Liaison Committee.
