Biography
Second Deputy President of Kenya (13 Sep 2022 – 17 Oct 2024); impeached by Parliament in October 2024 after a public fallout with President Ruto. Launched the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) at its Lavington headquarters on 15 May 2025 and was named Party Leader. On 13 September 2025, addressing supporters in Murang'a, he formally announced he will run for President in the 2027 General Election, positioning himself as the candidate to make Ruto a one-term president. Former MP Mathira (2017–2022) and former Personal Assistant to President Mwai Kibaki.
