Biography
Irungu Kangata is the current Governor of Murang'a County, elected in the August 2022 General Elections under the UDA party ticket. As county chief executive, the Governor leads Murang'a County's development agenda, oversees county government operations, and implements policies to improve service delivery to residents. The Governor chairs the County Executive Committee and represents Murang'a at the Council of Governors (CoG), working with other county leaders on inter-governmental relations and devolution matters.
